Think twice before marrying a Filipina in the Philippines. There only goal is to grab any foreigner to marry them and escape their corrupt, poverty stricken country. Many marry old men and return to America only to divorce them take everything they own and sometimes send for their boyfriends in the Philippines. This women cannot be trusted and will lie cheat steal to get there way and even try to kill you if they could. Heres how my stry goes….I went to Laoag City in 1998. Found a girl 9 years older then me. Only dated her 1 month. Being the small town that it was she told everyone in town she was my fiancé. So I could not date anyone else in that town and my time was to be short there needing to return to America. I though she was a good woman she pleaded and cried and cried for me not t o leave her in her dreadful town where people hated her and called her names like crying lady. The sucker I was for a damsel in distress. I married her. I ended up staying a couple years at a time with her off and on meanwhile I got to know her and wish I had never meet her. My Wife now Formerly Clemencia Barrientos Cid (Menchie) and her Cid family took my children from me threatened, Closed my Carinderia in Laoag City. All told me it would never prosper anyway. That they did not intend for me an American to marry there family member so that she could stay in the Philippines. They Force me to bring her back to America or else have me killed. Mila her sister in law advise Menchie to fool me, use me then divorce me once she is in America and all her papers were in order. Goons, police, radio, newspaper were involved. Menchie involves Mayor Farinas to back her. I get the US Embassy involved who contacted Mayor Farinas. They were very concerned for the safety of its Americans citizens which include my sons who are American citizens as well. All forced to return. Her family took most of the Carinderia products that we loaned from Ramos and Choy’s variety stores In Laoag. Menchie sold the rest to help pay for plane ticketts leaving us in debt. Mila & Alex Cid creates there own Carinderia. (remember they said it would not prosper?) We can never return to Laoag City. In the end it was made known it was in the Cid Families interest to get rid of Menchie so they could claim all properties. Including the one I paid all the past dues and property tax they owed on in Pasuquin .The father John Cid promised to give to us, only to find out too, that was a lie.
At the same time get her to send them money. Worst day Ever! 2002
I was advised by the US Embassy to report what she and her family did once back in America and have her Visa revoked and send her back to the Philippines. I never did that for the sake of the children and she swore she’d change her scandalous ways but never has. I regret the day I married this filipina.
7 years later Menchie Cid Mariano and I still struggle to pay rent to this day in America. She has huge credit debt borrows from checks into cash places and will never own a home in America nor the Philippines. So much for her being rich in America like her family in the Philippines promised her.
